The PAI is the national governing body (NGB) for sport parachuting in the Republic of Ireland. The Association sets and maintains standards for safety, training and operations. It is affiliated to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) through the National Aviation Council of Ireland and to the European Parachute Union (EPU). It operates under the rules laid down by the Irish Aviation Authority.
Founded in 1983, it is by far one of the best equipped centres within the British Parachute Association (B.P.A.). The Sky Centre, which is open to the public, has full catering facilities, TV’s, video/DVD players and a pool table. As a result it was the first centre to be awarded a Certificate Of Merit for Excellence by the B.P.A.
QUB Skydive Club is a student run club of the Queens University Belfast, Northern Ireland. Started back in the 80's and to our knowledge, the only university skydive club in Ireland, the role of the club is to bring the sport to the attention of students at the university and offer an introduction to skydiving.
