Tiny Broadwick - The First Lady of Parachuting
North Carolina was the site of the first powered ariplane flight by the Wright Brothers in 1903. Only ten years later, the state could also claim the first parachute jump by a woman, Tiny Broadwick.
The Society was formed in late 1984 by a small group of dedicated air racing enthusiasts who wanted to pool their efforts and knowledge with others having the same love of this great aviation era. The first Air Racing History Symposium was held in Cleveland, Ohio in May of 1985, and the Society became an official association shortly thereafter.
After working on various WWII websites over the years I have launched my own personal website:
I started of with about 1.250 pages and half a zillion pictures on mostly WWII US Paratroops information. Rations, Helmets, Personal Items, Lyrics, Patches, Medical Items etc.
LEST WE FORGET !!
