Selection Committee at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, the FAI President announced that the City of Turin (Italy) had been selected to host the World Air Games 2009. This multi-disciplinary event is the only official competition that brings together the various different air sports. It is a combination of elite competition and spectacular demonstrations which exemplify the very best that air sports have to offer.

The 2007 FAI 4th World Cup in Canopy Piloting will be held in Sydney Australia. The even will be hosted and run by Sydney Skydivers between 7th Nov - 11th Nov.

The 10th Asian Parachuting Championship and the International Parachuting Open Championship, held September 30 to October 7, 2006 in Qionglai, Chengdu, China.
